The Medical Receptionist will be the first welcoming point of contact after the lobby check in to the exam room. This role requires an empathetic, friendly and outgoing personality with strong attention to detail. Responsibilities include:

· phone correspondence with clients

· pharmacy prescription refills to outside pharmacies

· medication refills for existing clients

· processing client transactions/invoicing

· maintaining records and assisting in the appointment flow for the doctors

· preparation and maintenance of exam rooms for patients

The Medical Receptionist uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructions, but refers deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations not covered by instructions to the manager and/or doctors for decision or help.

This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and Saturdays. Previous veterinary/medical reception experience preferred.
