Responsibilities: Preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC tax provisions, tax footnotes, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Prepare and review corporate federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Develop tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and ensure tax efficiency. Conduct complex tax research and analysis to support business initiatives and tax planning strategies. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation. Provide guidance on the tax impact of business combinations, acquisitions, and divestitures. Collaborate with accounting and finance departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and proper tax accounting. Manage and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and consultations. Support the CFO and finance leadership with tax-related financial analysis and projections. Handle tax correspondence and negotiate with tax authorities when necessary to resolve disputes or audits. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in the tax function. Essential Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred 10 years’ experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax, international tax, and/or tax compliance. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations. Experience working in a public company and/or public accounting firm. Proficiency with tax software and familiarity with accounting and financial reporting systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing a team. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
