You will work alongside Software Engineers, Usability Designers, and Process Engineers to deliver future generations of our internal web applications. #LI-IB; #LI-RemoteJob ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely release of software through project management best practicesProvide technical leadership on software components and tooling (cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, UI frameworks, Databases)Provide guidance to direct reports (career development of Software Engineers, 3-5 reports expected)Drive continuous improvement of our development methodology (Agile) and Engineering cultureCollaborate cross-functionally with key partners in Product Management, Strategy, Operations, and Regulatory to ensure high-quality, high-impact delivery of innovative software projectsCollaborate with the UX team to review UI mocks and ensure they are executed using UI/UX best practicesIdentify technology risks and dependencies early to establish mitigation plansHands-on technical contributions as appropriateQualifications requiredMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related 5 years of relevant industry experience in a software company as a full-stack engineer2 years of management experience, preferably within growing organizations (hiring, forming new teams)Deep understanding of software development best practices: testing, CI/CD, DevOps, Agile methodologiesExperience developing web-based user interfaces and applying UI/UX best practicesExperience with cloud-based infrastructure (Amazon Web Services or equivalent)Experience architecting data-driven applications using data management best practicesAdvanced programming proficiency: JavaScript, TypeScript, PythonExcellent communication and collaboration skillsHow you stand outExperience with Vue.js, DjangoExperience using SQL, NoSQL databasesExperience with medical applications or other regulated industriesThe pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $141,000 to $215,025 (for all locations outside San Francisco Bay Area) and $159,000 to $242,475 (for San Francisco Bay Area).
