JOB SUMMARY:
The Communications Specialist will be the lead coordinator of marketing activities for Ann Arbor’s largest development, Arbor South. This individual will be responsible for tasks related to writing and editing, digital advertising, social media, email marketing, branding, and public relations. In addition to Arbor South, this role will be a part of the team that supports Oxford Property Management, Oxford Construction, Oxford Mechanical and BrightWorks Coworking. 
JOB DUTIES:Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Communications

  1. Write and edit presentation copy, press releases, social media content, etc.
  2. Coordinate the completion of communications tasks involving but not limited to:
    • Media inquiries
    • Community relations
    • Presentations
    • Internal communications

Digital Marketing

  1. Create and execute digital and print marketing campaigns, including those executed on social media, in email marketing, and in advertisements.
  2. Manage and maintain the organizations’ social media accounts and presence.
  3. Devise content strategies that support the organizations’ goals; write and publish content to the websites. 
  4. Write compelling email marketing content with curated visual assets.
  5. Drive key metrics related to web traffic, social media impact, email marketing engagement, etc. 
  6. Use analytical tools to track, measure, and report on the performance of campaigns.

Creatives, Visuals, and Branding

  1. Coordinate creative components of advertisements and branding related to both Oxford and Arbor South.
  2. Ensure that all marketing materials adhere to brand standards.
  3. Assist with photography coordination and execution for all Oxford departments and Arbor South.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. 3-5 years progressive marketing communications experience, or equivalent. 
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to connect easily with others, build relationships and communicate complex tasks and ideas.
  3. Excellent editing and writing skills.
  4. Comfort using all Microsoft products.
  5. Strong organizational and leadership skills including logistical coordination. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  6. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to correspond in a professional manner.
  7. Creative thinker, with an energetic, proactive, and influential personality.
  8. Perform all job duties with a positive attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:Employee will be regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. Employee will be frequently required to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs, reach with hands or arms, and occasionally navigate uneven terrain by foot. Employee is occasionally required to sit or stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal working office conditions in an open setting. Noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
