Precision Medicine Group is seeking an incoming or 1st year law student available for a summer legal internship. Responsibilities:
Assignments will vary and may include researching and drafting memos, reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements and other legal documents, preparing for and attending internal and external client meetings, etc.
Assist with drafting, revising and implementing corporate policies, procedures, training, and communications to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk
Working under Legal and partnering with Compliance, HR, IT, Finance and the various Business units to translate process and practice into policies and procedures
Review various laws and regulations and translate into policies and procedures
Required Experience:
Incoming or 1st year law student currently enrolled at an ABA accredited law school
A high level of computer competency and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook)
Leadership experience, including networking and relationships building
Highly organized, responsible, and able to exercise independent judgment to prioritize competing demands and complete work timely and professionally
Team-oriented and collaborative approach
Effective written and verbal communications, with a high level of professionalism in all interactions and correspondence
Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership to complete tasks in areas of responsibility
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technology, willingness to ask questions and be resourceful to accomplish work objectives
Experience/background/course work/other indicia of interest in the field of life sciences industry or corporate and compliance area of law
Internship Details:
This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 times per week combined with remote work for a total of approximately 35 hours a week.
Location: New Jersey or District of Columbia Area
Length: Early June running 8-10 weeks
