Position SummaryThe Seattle Kraken are seeking highly motivated, competitive & coachable individuals who are passionate about getting their start on the business side of the sports industry. The Inside Sales Academy Intern position focuses on selling new season ticket plans, ticket packs, group tickets and premium seating through outbound touchpoints and face-to-face appointments. As a team, we’re committed to the process of developing our sales executives on both a personal and professional level. The position pays an hourly wage. Inside Sales Representatives are hired for nine months with the opportunity to move into a full-time role based on department and business needs or will be transitioned out of the organization.

• Program:
  • Month 1: Sales and service training including all technical systems
  • Month 2-6: Live on the phones and ownership of outbound sales campaigns
  • Month 7-9: Assistance from leadership on career planning

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Responsible for selling new season ticket plans, ticket packs, group tickets and premium seating
• Make a minimum of 60 calls per day with the goal of generating new sales and revenue
• Identify new business opportunities by establishing and building professional and personal networks
• Proactively seek new leads through referrals, prospecting and networking
• Meets or exceeds weekly and monthly sales and intangible goals
• Provide phone support and follow-up of ticket sales marketing campaigns
• Maintain organized and detailed records of clients and prospects in the CRM system
• Provide immaculate customer service for any inbound calls or emails
• Joyfully work event day functions as assigned

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Relentless pursuit for excellence, determination and creativity
• No phone reluctancy
• High level of competition
• Strong verbal and listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Highly motivated, outgoing personality with a strong work ethic and desire to excel in sports sales
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized fashion
• Ability to be prompt and on-time
• Works well in a team environment
• Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude at all times
• Able and willing to maintain a flexible work schedule (evenings and weekends) and work the hours necessary to meet sales goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Past sales experience is preferred, but not required
• Prior experience using a CRM system like SalesForce is preferred

Compensation & Perks

• In accordance with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the expected salary range for this position is $20-22/hr. Actual base pay will depend on employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow, and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
• Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
• Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs
