Description

• Real Estate negotiating skills applied to eminent domain acquisition.
• Comprehensive knowledge of eminent domain laws.
• Ability to explain the acquisition appraisal methodology.
• Excellent record keeping skills.
• Ability to read highway plats, plans, profiles, and cross sections.
• A good understanding of real estate principles.
• Be willing to learn advanced principles in relocation, property management, appraisal, and acquisition.
• Drafting proposals and contracts for real estate services.
• High level work that requires applying extensive knowledge of the real estate field in performing tasks of
• substantial variety and complexity in eminent domain acquisition.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field preferred, or minimum two years of real estate experience.
• Extensive knowledge of real estate concepts and principles.
• Knowledge of land economic principles.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of right-of-way acquisition under state and federal law.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of residential and commercial relocation under state and federal laws is preferred, but not a requirement.
• Approved WisDOT LPA negotiation agent is a requirement.
• Approved WisDOT LPA relocation agent is preferred.
• Effective negotiation methodology and techniques.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to mentor and train others in technical disciplines.
• Teamwork skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
