What you will do:

Provide physician-directed speech therapy services by, initially and periodically evaluating patients needs, establishing a goal-directed plan of care, and initiating planned care. The plan of care and re-evaluation occurs no less often than every 60 days.

Provides quality care within guidelines of department policy and procedures as well as local, state, and federal rules and regulations and the Code of Ethics as established by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association

Evaluates and provides rehabilitative services for patients with speech and language and communication disorders. Evaluation and treatment for swallowing impairments and those at risk for aspiration.

Provides written documentation of assessment and care delivery in a professional manner according to policy and within the designated period.

Ideal candidate:

Active NYS Speech Therapy licensure

One year of speech therapy experience is preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply

Previous homecare experience and/or acute care or rehab experience is a plus
