Bay Farm Montessori Academy is an Elementary Program Manager / Lead Counselor for its Bay Farm Summer 2022 program season.

Bay Farm Summer's Elementary Program Manager runs from June 10-August 9 from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday. Elementary Summer students are ages 6-10.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily planning and organization of the day's activities within a set schedule block;
• Coordinate and facilitate field trips and serve as key contact and point of responsibility for 5 off-campus field trips to Boston/surrounding areas;
• Serve as Lead Counselor for a group of 25 children and manage the activities of the full 50-student group; 
• Coach and support second Lead Counselor and two assistant counselors; 
• Discuss daily events with Summer Program Director, pro-actively seek support and guidance from same; 
• Oversee an assistant counselor to coordinate preparation of spaces, coordination of lunches/snacks, and general support; 
• Rotating coverage of pick-up and drop-off; 
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment in which the students will thrive during their summer break;
• Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with parents of students through ongoing responsible, timely, and respectful communication;
• Participation in staff meetings and trainings;

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience running after-school / summer programs highly preferred
• Experience with child supervision and activity management for kids between the ages 6-10
• Interest in Montessori Philosophy
• Calm and peaceful disposition
