Catawba County is looking for energetic customer service focused individuals who want to work on a part-time basis in an innovative outdoors environment. The Catawba County Park System is currently recruiting for an hourly Park Attendants based at Mountain Creek Park in Sherrills Ford, a 600-acre park on the outskirts of Hickory featuring a nature center, 2 dog parks, pickleball courts, fishing pier, over 19 miles of hiking/biking trails and an adventure playground. As an hourly Park Attendant, you will support Park Rangers by maintaining an office presence and performing public relations activities. Park Attendants are currently needed on a long-term basis for the following schedules/locations: Weekend hours at Mountain Creek Park (Saturday and Sunday 11am to 8pm)Occasional weekday/weekend hours at any of our four park locations (Baker’s Mountain, Mountain Creek Park, Riverbend Park, St. Stephens Park) on an as-needed basisHours will change during fall and winter seasons as park hours are adjusted Hourly Staff will work no more than 19 hours a week with no guaranteed schedule or amount of hours and no benefits associated with position. Persons with ability and desire to work weekends are needed. It is anticipated that hourly staff will work more in the summer months than the winter months.
