The Reinforced Earth Company is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support.

The Jr. Accountant reports to the Treasurer and is responsible for assisting in the needs of the back-office team within the finance department. Responsibilities include data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, account reconciliations, analyzing data and researching issues.

Responsibilities include:

• Assists management with cash forecasting
• Setup customers/ vendors in Oracle
• Enter and mark tax payments in Oracle
• Prepare tax documents for accountants to process
• Record environmental usage (gas, water, waste, electricity) from plants
• Collect and transform expense data for CEO & VP of HR
• Process expense reports
• Reconcile and process P-cards
• Verify Vendor banking info
• Analyze data
• Account reconciliations
• Assists in monthly closings
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner

Education/Skill/Experience:

• Proficient in Excel
• 10-Key by touch
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree with some work experience

Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
