Job Duties: Communicating with clients directly, gather information from clients regarding the goals of their public relations or advertising campaigns. Lead strategy and conceptualization of and produce visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate target audience. Using professional software or by hand create original visual designs of illustrations and logos, prepare print-ready designs, and manage pre-press process. Create original visual designs of web pages and mobile applications, factoring in the functionality, esthetics, and textual content to achieve a digital product appealing to users. Create original visual designs of 2D video recordings and animations, assist with the post-video productions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and 48 months of experience as a graphic designer or illustrator or master’s degree in graphic design and 24 months of experience as a graphic designer or illustrator required. Ability to create visual content that effectively resonates with target audience demonstrated by a portfolio of at least 15 illustrations, logos, web pages, and similar creative visual content pieces, produced digitally and by hand. Mastery of contemporary hand-drawn illustrations and traditional artistic techniques using watercolor and charcoal. Demonstrated knowledge of specialized illustration software: Wacom tablet, IPad, Procreate, Adobe Suite (Distiller, FrameMaker, PageMaker, Fireworks, Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Sketch and CoreDraw Suite; web platform development software: JavaScript, HTML, Adobe ColdFusion; and advanced animation software: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Prof, Cinema 4D, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple iMovie, WeVideo. Political and public policy literacy and awareness of clients’ sensitivities to current political issues surrounding conditions to the economic growth in the US or a commitment to develop such literacy and awareness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language.
