Genius Solutions, Inc., we are the creator of the eThomas Practice Management and ehrThomas certified complete EHR Software systems. We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Biller to join our team. This continued growth has resulted in the need to add full time staff. This position will be conducted from a office-based.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily payment posting and tracking.
• Communicate, follow up with clients and handle client issues. 
• Work directly with credentialing for providers, insurance companies, billing and contracts.
• Enter insurance information.
• Contact insurance companies regarding underpaid and or unpaid account.
• Update demographics.
• Transmit claims
• Enter changes.
• Charge review.
• Balance deposits.
• Submit appeals to insurance companies as needed to secure payments on claims. 

 Required Skills:

• Candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• Possess excellent data entry keying skills to ensure medical bills will be priced correctly and in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
• Sharp customer service skills and be able to work independently.
• Prior experience in a computerized data entry environment along with medical/insurance terminology is preferred but not required.
• Other qualifications include being detailed, organized, and task oriented.

Qualifications 

• Medical Billing and Coding 1 year (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Certified Coding and Billing (Preferred).
• General knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10.

Job Type and Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: $13-$17/hour
