Summary Keeps records of financial transactions for establishment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer
files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, and computer reports.
Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files.
Bank statement reconciliation.
Prepares tax returns.
Process accounts receivable.
Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business.
Maintain various tracking files in Excel.
Cash posting and receipt generation.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
Distributes expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules.
Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings.
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and three to five years related accounting experience.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software and Accounting software.
