Job Summary:
All Modal Transportation is looking to fill a position for General Laborer. The position is responsible for assisting in maintaining the yard grounds, assisting the mechanic, loading/offloading containers, palletizing, etc.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and offloading containers and trailers by using a forklift, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping commodities, securing loads with the use of straps, load bars, etc.
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining the yard grounds by blowing the warehouse and yard, degreasing oil and fuel spots, power washing the yard, collecting trash.
- Light building maintenance duties such as painting needed areas and replacing lights.
- Janitorial duties include cleaning the office, bathrooms, and break room.
- Cleaning the commercial trucks on the inside and outside.
- Assisting the mechanic with getting parts, refilling fuel containers, organizing scrap, mounting and dismounting tires off the rims, etc.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Forklift operating experience.
- Good verbal English communication skills.
- Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, compressors, power washing equipment, etc.
- Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance and to be available for occasional overtime or weekend work.

Additional Job Information:
- This job position is designated as a safety-sensitive position.
- Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift 75 pounds independently, at times exerting up to 150 lbs of force to pull, push, lift, and carry.
- Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
- Requires standing for an extended period with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and may have fumes or odors.
- Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, gloves, knee pads, ear protection, safety vest and other protective garments and equipment provided by All Modal Transportation.
