Why do we need you ?

Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing Recruitment and Field HR, the Regional Recruiting Manager will execute on the manufacturing recruiting strategy - with an emphasis on recruitment process optimization, customer centricity and relationships.

As a critical management role supporting the success of our Grow and Impact global strategy, this role will strengthen our People strategy in North America through direct management of manufacturing recruitment operations, fulfillment, and delivery in key salaried and hourly skill areas at the manufacturing plant site locations within the Region (US). The Manager will be responsible to manage a team of 8-12 recruiters to support the efforts and changing priorities in the field.

Key success factors include enhancing current local market bench strength within the manager's assigned region, reducing time-to-fill and mitigating candidate turnover. A strong ability to create processes as well as the knowledge of applicable hiring processes, compliance and appropriate local, state & federal laws/guidelines is required.

The incumbent will work closely with the Director, Manufacturing Recruitment and Field HR, to align our strategy and direction with the current and anticipated economic and workforce conditions in local markets. The candidate will be expected to combine strategic HR, Talent Acquisition, and related disciplines in order to serve effectively as our assigned-region leader in the manufacturing recruitment space.

  • Provide day-to-day people management for a team of dedicated manufacturing talent partners and specialists. Strategically manages headcount against the needs in the field, aligned with annual budgets
  • Actively partner with plant leaders to create a customized plan to attract and recruit on open manufacturing roles (salaried and hourly) across the region's site locations, specializing in all operations, supply chain and skilled labor roles
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and human resources associates across multiple site locations while developing a 'consultative approach' and offer local market intelligence in the form of data that tells a story
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in the region and within corporate functions to provide guidance and support for manufacturing talent acquisition topics, including, but not limited to, employee value proposition planning, recruitment marketing, community relations and outreach, social media engagement, candidate flow strategy and creative pipelines
  • Strategize with Field and Plant HR Partners to identify and execute pre-employment and onboarding process improvements within the business, geographical region, and plant
  • Collaborate with Regional HR Managers and Recruiting team members to develop best practices and processes and procedures. Enhances continuous improvements within the manufacturing recruiting space to enhance retention and promote positive employee relations
  • Work to continuously improve critical performance indicators including time-to-fill, turnover and bench strength in critical-to-hire roles within the assigned region. Identifies additional ways to measure important data points to identify and target gaps in processes and talent acquisition plans. Measures and analyzes key recruitment metrics such as time to fill/hire, quality of hire and early turnover rates and reports findings to senior management (Director, VP, etc). This includes developing and implementing an internal performance dashboard that adequately captures localized recruitment data that will used by senior management to adjust our recruitment strategy in North America
  • Mitigate cost by evaluating opportunities to leverage spend regionally, where appropriate
  • Provide guidance and solutions to unique problems by region and by plant, striving to share best practices across the region
  • Support regional initiatives, projects, and job fairs, as needed
  • Ensure processes are developed, communicated, and managed consistently
  • Take an active role in field HR onboarding and ongoing training on the topics related to manufacturing recruitment

To make sure nothing is forgotten
  • Bachelors degree in HR, business or related field or combination of degree and experience is required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years' direct experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, temporary staffing, human resources, organizational development and/or HR/Management consulting
  • Expertise in current and relevant HR legislation (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Health & Safety, etc.)
  • Adaptability, customer focus orientation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage 8-12 direct reports
  • Regional travel is required up to 25% as needed for site visits and career fairs
