SUMMARY
An Employee in this position performs manual and clerical work in receiving and checking shipments from outside the facility and issuing supplies to staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Keeps a running audit of all supplies and equipment throughout the facility
2.Fills and delivers routine and emergency requisitions from nursing and other departments for supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
3.Receives incoming shipments and checks incoming merchandise against packing slips and purchase orders in accordance with policies and procedures.
4.Will assist in establishing par levels for each area of storage.
5.Stocks all med rooms, Storage closets and resident rooms on a daily or weekly schedule to established par levels
6.Organizes the storage closets of supplies and equipment inventory in a safe, clean, and orderly manner to ensure efficient handling and to prevent deterioration and in accordance with policies and procedures.
7.Ensures the spend log is kept current for all expenditures
8.Ensures that the Accrual log is updated for each invoice that has not been received in the month of order.
9.Follows-up with vendors for all outstanding invoices.
10.Follows all safety procedures when handling supplies and equipment
11.Ensures all invoiced orders are properly prepared, signed, and submitted as required in policies and procedures.
12.Ensures that work areas are clean and free of hazards. Also that all safety rules and regulations are adhered to.
13.Ensures defective equipment is identified for repair in accordance with policies and procedures.
14.Ensures all equipment is cleaned, bagged and stored in the respective supply closet.
15.Order and track uniforms for certified nursing aides and licensed professional s.
16.Weekly an audit of all concentrators in-use and Tube Feeds to include product will be given to the Director of Nursing which will include the name of resident and room number
17.Concerns him/herself with the safety of all residents in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents. Also, ensures that the facility adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire, and sanitation codes by being familiar with his/her role in carrying out the centers fire, safety, and disaster plans, as well as being familiar with current MSDS.
OTHER DUTIES
1.Assists department staff in identifying and correcting problem areas and improving services.
2.Attend and participate in in-service education classes and on-the-job training programs as required.
3.Interacts with facility staff in a respectful manner.
4.Performs other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention/participation may be required to include Dining Room.
5.May be required to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, additional hours, and in different positions as facilitys needs require.
