Responsibilities:
- Serve as assistant to the the official record keeper for the city, maintaining and organizing all official documents and records
- help to prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes for city council meetings and other official gatherings
- Assist with municipal elections, including voter registration, candidate filings, and ballot preparation
- Respond to public inquiries and provide information on city policies, procedures, and services
- Assist with the city's licensing and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting
- Coordinate special events and community outreach programs on behalf of the city
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administrative or office management roles
- Proficiency in using Google Suite or similar office productivity tools
- Knowledge of city government office procedures is a plus
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills for accurate document preparation
- Ability to transcribe meeting minutes accurately and efficiently
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient math and accounting skills beneficial
