Washington County Health DepartmentPUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATOR NEEDEDWashington County Health Department is seeking a Public Health Administrator. Thisdepartment head will supervise and manage staff and daily operations of the healthdepartment, including but not limited to procurement, grant application and management,working within and creating budget proposals, and community engagement with stakeholders.The Administrator works under the direction of the Washington County Board of Health.The Administrator must possess the following minimum requirements for education andexperience as outlined in Ill. Admin. Code tit. 77 Section 600.310: A master’s degree in public health from a college or university accredited by the North CentralAssociation or other nationally recognized accrediting agency AND 2 years of full-timeadministrative experience in public health; A graduate degree in a related field from a nationally recognized accrediting agency, which mayinclude, but shall not be limited to a master’s degree in public administration, nursing,environmental health, community health, health education, AND 2 years of full-timeadministrative experience in public health; A bachelor’s degree from a nationally recognized accrediting agency AND 4 years of full-timeadministrative experience, of which at least 2 years MUST be in public health; or An incumbent Public Health Administrator or acting in the capacity of a public healthadministrator either already approved by IDPH or exempt from approval specified in Section600.300 of the Ill Admin.
