Paving Pros is Hiring a Junior Construction Estimator Near Raleigh, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in estimating residential asphalt construction projects, do take offs for the senior estimators, contact suppliers to get competitive pricing, call potential customers and ensure accuracy and competitiveness in pricing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing estimates and bids for residential asphalt construction projects
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate costs
- Collaborate with senior estimators to review and refine estimates
- Utilize software such as HubSpot, Bluebeam, PlanHub, Building Connect, ProCore, Office 365 and other tools for estimating
- Support in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Assist in maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Learn and apply principles of construction management and project management
Experience:
- Previous experience or knowledge in construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with construction industry practices and terminology
- Ability to interpret contract documents and understand project requirements
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate costs accurately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and pricing calculations
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment

Pay: $45,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
