Position Purpose:As the Loyalty Program Manager, you are responsible to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy supporting the launch of new Core-Mark retailer programs focused on customer loyalty, back office and related customer facing technology partnerships. This role will also support sales efforts through direct selling when expertise is required, and implementation of new retailer programs in coordination with our solution partner.
Position Responsibilities:Manage and continuously optimize the go-to-market strategy for the Loyalty, Back Office and related consumer facing technology partnerships - including ongoing evaluation of:
- Target market/audience
- Positioning relative to competitive offerings
- New feature deployment per development roadmap
- Sales messaging and value proposition
- Establish performance metrics and benchmarks aligned with sales growth objectives, and provide periodic updates to VP of Merchandising - including progress vs. goals, sales quota and pipeline objectives, recommended course corrections and incremental resources required to achieve success.
- Obtain regular feedback from retailer customers that are early adopters of the programs - including the effectiveness of the marketing and sales messaging, the overall efficiency of the onboarding process, and their experience with both the Core-Mark offering and the customer service that supports it.
- Collaborate with Core-Mark Brand team members to develop and refine marketing and sales collateral, build traditional and digital campaigns to support selling efforts, and leverage planned corporate marketing efforts to build awareness of these programs.
- Collaborate with Core-Mark sales team members to deliver product demonstrations, facilitate advanced program discussions, provide required input for active RFPs, develop customized presentation materials for larger or more complex retailers, and educate new sales team members not familiar with the programs.
Own the day-to-day partnership between Core-Mark and its program partner that would include:
- Regular communication with the sales, marketing and development partner teams to advance Core-Mark priorities and objectives.
- Establish and hold to account partner commitments to include - sales and marketing support, implementation timelines, customer issue resolution, feature development and platform security audits, and customization work as required.
- Provide regular updates to VP of Merchandising and present areas requiring executive support/involvement to more efficiently progress.
Required Qualifications2 years of higher education in analytics or equivalent work experience.
Strength in strategic thinking, problem-solving and effective reasoning abilities.
Ability to draw insights from data analysis and correlation, to inform marketing and selling strategy optimization
Highly disciplined, and methodical in approach to business challenges and opportunities
Comfortable interacting at all organizational levels - within Core-Mark and directly with our retailer customers.
Effective use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Preferred QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of loyalty and back office solutions available to the convenience and fuel channels - both from a B2B and B2C perspective.
Experience selling and marketing to the convenience and fuel channels - extensive retailer network a plus
Interpersonal skills to work in collaboration with peers and cross-functional departments.
