Decimal Engineering is a leading manufacturer providing sheet metal fabrication and machining services for a wide variety of industries. The Shipping/Receiving Team Leader will be responsible to assist the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to oversee and supervise warehouse employees and drivers to make sure all items are prepared, shipped, and received on time while complying with company policy. Ensure that Decimal’s workmanship standards are met or exceeded for assigned projects.

The Shipping and Receiving Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor in direct supervision of employees assigned to the shipping, receiving and warehouse areas. Functional duties include: overseeing the pulling of orders and correct packaging procedures in the shipment of finished goods both internationally and domestically; overseeing the shipment of raw parts to outside services suppliers; ensuring the proper procedures are in effect for the warehousing of packaging supplies, raw materials, and finished goods; overseeing the receiving process of parts from outside services suppliers and raw materials inbound from suppliers.

The Shipping and Receiving Team Leader provides training, coaching and direction to the Decimal drivers, shipping clerks, receiving clerks and the shipping admin. Responsible for all metrics and team performance in meeting Decimal standards/expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shipping

· Inspects and approves the proper packaging of products shipping to customers, via UPS, FedEx, Common Carrier, Dedicated freight truck and Decimal local deliveries

· Inspects and approves the final preparation of finished goods orders for customers

· Manage the pallet program that provides pallets for Decimal

· Schedule the most efficient routes for Decimal drivers

· Ensure jobs on the “must ship list” are shipped accurately and on time

· Establish policies and procedures for shipping activities

· Develop and maintain a preventive vehicle maintenance program

· Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful working environment

· Works closely with the Decimal Buyer on all receiving, shipping and processing of parts for outside services suppliers

· Displays leadership, encourages team work and provides consistency in duties and team workflow

Receiving

· Oversee the receiving accuracy of raw materials: procedure for kind, count and condition

· Oversee the receiving policy for certifications, certificates of compliance and other required documents submitted by suppliers

· Oversee the receiving of UPS, FedEx, and other small package/parcel deliveries, which may be priority deliveries effecting the needs of internal Decimal customers

· Oversee the process for the accurate and timely issuing of raw materials to production via job travelers

· Responsible for Scrap management

· Defines material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, along with inventory/storage racking, used to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in a safe & effective manner

· Establish policies and procedures for receiving and warehouse activities

Inventory

· Responsible for maintaining an accurate Finish Goods inventory

· Responsible for maintaining an accurate raw material inventory

· Oversee monthly, quarterly and yearly cycle counts of inventory

· Perform inventory transactions, including adjustments, per company inventory policies

· Establish policies and procedures for inventory management

Requirements:

· High School Diploma; additional education preferred

· Minimum 5 years related experience

· Computer skills

· Forklift certified

· Organized, multi-task experience, comfortable working with all levels of the organization

· Leadership/supervisory experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
