Fire and Security (F&S) is a strategic business unit within Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT). F&S is focused on life and property safety. Within F&S, Commercial Fire provides a wide range of fire safety products, including fire detection and alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and emergency lighting systems.

The Commercial Finance Manager, Fire Americas supports the $1.0B Commercial Fire Americas P&L and will function as the primary finance contact for key channel leaders enabling strategic commercial and financial decisions. This position will play a critical role in the day-to-day execution of the Management Operating System (MOS) and provide the Fire Americas Go-To-Market Channel Sales Directors with meaningful performance analysis, insights, and recommendations. You will play a key role in managing financial performance and implementing key finance strategies to achieve committed business performance.

This position will report directly to the CFO for Fire Americas and will be based out of the Atlanta, GA office – with frequent exposure to the F&S leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Fire Americas Go-To-Market Channel Sales Directors demonstrating insight of financial analysis techniques and tools to provide practical counsel to drive results.
  • Provide commercial advice for the development, deployment, and execution of the channel strategy.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and other key stakeholders to create effective product pricing strategy taking into consideration all relevant criteria (product cost, volume, customer tier, expected returns, competitor pricing, product tier, etc.).
  • Act as a financial adviser to the Go-To-Market Channel Sales Directors to align demand (orders) forecast which enable performance to quarterly financial commitments.
  • Drive profitable growth for the Region via analytical support including build-up of formal forecasts (SRO, Pulse, 5 7, 8 4) in addition to pressure testing and reporting on key weekly/monthly/quarterly financial metrics.
  • Lead Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process as well as actively participate in the Strategic Plan (STRAP).
  • Enhance/automate the Management Operating System (MOS) to provide accurate, fast data for business decisions.
  • Execute financial strategies to achieve or exceed committed performance.
  • Perform in-depth financial analytics to identify Working Capital improvements related to receivables (i.e., cash collections, past due balances, bad debt, credit holds).
  • Manage the monthly forecasting process, driving continuous improvement to reduce variances and identify risks / opportunities in the orders and backlog forecast.
  • Analyze, account for, and maintain complex contracts with material financial statement impacts.
  • Establish clear processes, identify improvement areas, and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare and provide presentations with the goal of driving speed, quality, and efficiency in the reporting process to the leadership team, include channel reporting master data management.
  • Provide financial assistance on any acquisition or growth-related activities; management reporting/SAP enhancements
  • Work independently, collaborate effectively, and handle numerous priorities.
