DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
To work cross-functionally across all company departments and product lines to produce cutting-edge product concepts and design solutions with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics, and usability
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
• Assist with concept generation and evaluation while collaborating with multiple departments
• Produce computer models of concept design for presentation, prototyping and production
• Responsible for the aesthetic and ergonomic design of new product
• Collaborate daily with Research & Development (R&D) Engineering and Product Management teams to develop new products
• Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
• Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
• Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
• Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
• Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

Must have the ability to:
• Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
• Work as part of a multi-disciplined cross-functional team
• Ability to visually communicate concepts through visual thinking, sketching, and rendering
• Maintain multiple projects simultaneously
• Prepare and build prototypes
• Use hand tools, standard power tools and standard measuring devices
• Proactively conduct consumer research
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed
Must have:
• Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
• Proficiency in sketching and able to clearly communicate ideas
• Basic working knowledge of 3D surface modeling with SolidWorks or similar parametric modeling software
• Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and KeyShot
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production processes
• Intermediate knowledge of industrial design methods
• Constant and keen awareness of latest industrial design trends and manufacturing processes/techniques
• Basic model making/shop skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
PERFERRED SKILLS
• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and/or KeyShot preferred
• Lift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• No experience required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• At least 1 year of design experience in an industrial design or R&D environment supporting design, manufacturing and technical processes preferred
• Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION
• Associate Degree in Industrial Design
PREFERRED EDUCATION
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design preferred
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
