Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist based in Mendota Heights, MN, to assist and support the Logistics Manager in daily operation.

What You Will Do:

• Foster clear communication with your team and internal contacts to address service related interests.
• Develop close relationships with key vendors concerning contract terms, payments and service while complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert and perform various logistics activities such as account management, database maintenance, replenishment and inventory forecasting, shortage resolution, distribution planning, delivery execution and exception management activities.
• Manage quality, service and cost metrics. Regularly analyze and report on measured data while developing and implementing specific plans to achieve improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 years experience in a warehouse setting
• 6 months forklift operator experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Position Details:

• Plant location: Mendota Heights, MN
• Work week and shift: M - F, 1st shift
• Compensation: Hourly, starting at $27 / hour

Preferred Qualifications:

• WMS experience
• SAP experience
• Shipping and receiving experience
• Previous project management experience
• Experience in hazardous materials shipping
• Exposure to TPM and/or Lean Manufacturing principals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
