Job Overview

Data Science Director 

If numbers have a way of speaking to you, you may be the perfect fit for our growing team. As a Data Science Director at Colle McVoy, you will be at the forefront of shaping our data-driven approach to advertising and marketing. Far beyond campaign reporting, you’ll lead clients to maximize the impact of data to inform full funnel predictive modeling, brand strategy development, creative insights and brand/business impact. Our ideal candidate is an experienced agency leader with a proven track record of bringing disparate data sources together (ranging from site metrics, first-party data, CRM, social media, and third party vendors) to tell a cohesive story and bring forth surprising insights. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Data Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the agency's business objectives and client needs.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a client team of data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. \
  • Data-driven Insights: Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from complex data sets, informing creative ideation, audience targeting, and media planning.
  • Campaign Optimization: Work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, media planning, and account management to optimize campaign performance through data driven optimizations and A/B testing.
  • Client Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on data-driven marketing strategies, campaign performance analysis, and optimization opportunities.
  • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement cutting-edge data analytics tools and marketing technologies to enhance the agency's capabilities in data collection, analysis, and visualization.
  • Data Privacy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry best practices, maintaining the highest standards of data security and integrity.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and marketing analytics, driving innovation and thought leadership within the agency. 

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a data-driven marketing environment in an advertising or media agency or marketing consultancy.
  • Deep expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with proficiency in tools such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
  • Experience with implementation and management of marketing technology platforms including analytics platforms (GA4, Adobe, etc.) and data management platforms (CDPs, DMPs, CRM systems).
  • Experience with Unified Measurement, Media Mix Modeling, and Multi-touch Attribution technology partners preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent within the team by partnering with the practice lead.
  • Experience working with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA is preferred. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computehttp://www.instagram.com/collemcvoyr Science, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to travel as needed
