Job Summary:

Windwalker is a dynamic, multi-sector business experiencing significant growth and seeking an experienced, proactive Director of Security to lead our Security (facilities) Business Unit. This critical role demands a strategic thinker with a robust track record in security management and leadership, capable of steering the business unit towards sustained success and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of over 150 security and concierge service professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop and retain high-caliber talent, providing clear direction and motivational leadership.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure the efficient and effective management of daily operations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. Drive operational excellence and innovation, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Business Development and Client Relations: Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for all Business Development initiatives within the security domain. Cultivate and manage client relationships, overseeing new business contracts, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
• Contract Management: Manage and oversee the execution of services as per contract Performance Work Statements (PWSs) or Statements of Work (SOWs). Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, delivering exceptional service quality.
• Risk Management and Consulting: Provide expert consultancy services in areas such as Enterprise Risk Assessments, Continuity of Operations Plans, Building Assessments, Security Design, and Emergency Planning. Develop comprehensive reports and recommendations for clients.
• Emergency Preparedness and Response: Lead and facilitate emergency response exercises, including live and tabletop scenarios. Respond to real-time emergencies, ensuring swift, coordinated, and effective management of incidents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven success in leading and motivating teams within a 24/7/365 operation.
• Business Unit Management experience, with a track record of managing P&L.
• Direct experience in developing business strategies that drive company growth, revenue, and profit.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices.
• Experience in establishing a metrics-driven organization.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in collecting, organizing, and analyzing significant data with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with FEMA – NIMS, COOP, and Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Disaster Management, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• ASIS CPP certification.
• Knowledge of FEMA National Response Framework and VTTX exercises.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
