Job Description
The major responsibilities for this position include:
•Garden Sales Associates must provide exceptional customer service that our customers have come to expect.
•Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
•Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by a manager
•Aid customers in locating merchandising in the indoor and outdoor garden section
•Assisting with plant deliveries, helping customers loading plant related materials and watering and maintaining plants
The minimum requirements for this position include:
•Possess a willingness to learn product knowledge of plants and garden related products
•Experience in a retail environment and garden center preferred but not required
•Excellent customer service skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
•Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
•Ability to handle multiple projects and task with a high attention to detail
•Willingness to learn our retail computer systems
•Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
