The River Downs Club Host/Hostess greets and interacts with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner; the incumbent in this position will promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service to all patrons and employees of Belterra Park.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Delivers superior internal and external guest service the Pinnacle Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look sharp, smile and greet the guest; Be friendly, polite and use courteous language; Provide especially timely and knowledgeable service and then some; Always find solutions to guests problems; Use the guests name when appropriate; Thank the guest and invite him or her back.); and work harmoniously with fellow team members.

Assumes responsibility for greeting and interacting with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner.

Answers phone calls, questions, and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner regarding the River Downs Club.

Attends and participates in group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations.

Communicates all relevant information to co-workers and management to maintain consistency and avoid potential problems.

Ensures guests are aware of events, promotions and entertainment and responds guests accordingly.

Complies with state and local regulatory requirements.

Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

High School Diploma or GED.

At least 1 year experience in customer service or racing

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

Must successfully pass background check

Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening

Must be eighteen (18) years of age

Must be willing to work weekends nights, and holidays if needed.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

Knowledge of:

Operations, services and activities of a customer service and cash handling operations; methods and techniques of cash handling and customer service; knowledge of thoroughbred racing and the River Downs Club; office procedures, methods and equipment including computer and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases; pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

Ability to:

Collect, disburse and count various forms of monies; utilize a keyboard; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; interpret and explain policies and procedures; interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations.

The truly unique entertainment complex, Belterra Park Gaming , features an expansive facility on 122 acres just minutes east of downtown Cincinnati. The facility features six food & beverage outlets, 1,500 Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), and maintains the only turf track in Ohio.
