Summary of Primary Functions: Directs and coordinates activities involved with the production of company precast/prestressed products made by designated crews (1-3 crews per production foreman typical).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Plans, directs, and supervises production activities of designated production crews.
* Establishes production priorities for designated crews taking into consideration effective operations and cost factors.
* Coordinates with procurement, maintenance, quality control, and engineering/drafting to ensure optimum production of quality products.
* Reviews operational and quality reports to determine and reduce nonconformities and operational problems.
* Oversees bed leaders during regular operations and safety meetings.
* Participates in pre-production meetings to discuss new products.
* Oversees bed leaders and production level II employees as they teach new hires and on-going training.
* Resolves grievances and disagreements within designated crews or refers the problem to plant manager and/or HR.
* Consults with engineering/drafting personnel about modifications to machines, equipment, and products to improve operations and quality.
* Reviews, edits, and approves subordinate employees' time in IFS.
* Performs regular performance reviews of subordinates and oversees approval of subordinates' vacation and absences.
* Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred. A minimum of two years experience in precast operations and supervision.
Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and must be able to perform in hot & cold temperatures. Regularly exposed to extreme heights, frequently exposed to moving equipment and loads. Employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration and exposed to a noise level that is intermittently loud.
