Job Description:
Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists with a variety of patient care activities for patients of varying ages in the Endoscopy Department. Provides assistance in setting up and maintaining Endoscopy equipment and supplies. Assists Perioperative Environmental Service Associates in maintaining a clean environment in the Endoscopy Department.
Required Skills:
1. Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
2. Ability to use judgment in problem solving.
3. Knowledge of supplies and equipment used in Endoscopy procedures.
4. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
5. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
One year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant in a hospital, clinic, or endoscopy setting required.
License/Registration/Certification
Current CPR Certification.
Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant required.
Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Surgical Tech program required.
