Evergreen Recovery Centers is Hiring an Outpatient Clinical Supervisor Near Lynnwood, WA

The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for developing and supervising staff providing SUD group education and counseling, patient treatment reviews, and case management. This role will include reviewing utilization management reviews for complete information and training SUD counselors and trainees on compliance with regulations and accreditation standards. This position is a key leader in the clinical team of multi-disciplinary professionals. Staff collaboration is integral to the operation.
Carries out a variety of tasks for a DOH-licensed adult outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) behavioral health agency providing a variety of services for persons meeting ASAM 2.1 and 1.0 level of care. The SUD Counselor Supervisor will assist in develop abstinence-based substance use disorder treatment regimen and curricula for residential treatment that comply with State and federal laws and regulations and organizational policy. Tasks include but are not limited to:
Personnel Supervision:
Hire, train and supervise counseling and case management staff of residential treatment programs, including licensed mental health professionals and student interns and volunteers.
In consultation with Supervisor, this position will oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, supervising, and disciplining of assigned SUD counselors, SUDP Trainees and interns, and case managers as assigned.
Develop and enforce counselor staffing schedules to assure coverage for hours of services as required by contracts, work plans, or agency directive.
Provide back-up coverage for SUD staff when they are absent by facilitating groups, review assessments, counsel patients in crises.
Annually review job descriptions and complete performance evaluations of supervisees in accordance with agency procedures.
Clinical Oversight and Training:
Ensure complete, quality and timely documentation of services and incidents in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and in compliance with contracts, state/ federal regulations, CARF and DOH licensing requirements. Monitor and review SUD staff documentation for completion, approvals and timeliness and adherence to agency policies, State licensing and CARF standards.
Collaborate and work effectively with all outpatient treatment team members as well as ensure SUD staff identify and facilitate referral of patients to appropriate agencies, such as courts, CPS, DCYF, and courts, maintain ongoing communication and progress reports.
Train and monitor individualized treatment plans and case notes as well as planning for discharge from the point of admission to facilitate a seamless continuing care plan.
Oversee quality assurance of supervisees, including personally reviewing file content and conducting observation of clinical services, to ensure program is compliant with clinical eligibility and record-keeping requirements.
Train and monitor staff in compliance with confidentiality laws (CFR 42 Part 2 and CFR 45 HIPAA) and relevant agency policies and supporting a multi-disciplinary approach to holistic care.
Administration and Other Expectations:
Share in providing emergency on-call response to programs after hours and on weekends.
Collect and prepare data as needed to meet contract performance requirements.
Support program performance goals and monitor measurable outcomes against those goals, with regular written reports to supervisor and management as assigned.
Represent the PPW treatment program to PCAP, Safe Babies Safe Moms, CPS/DCYS and Family Drug Courts and provide client progress reports, prognoses, etc., as needed.
Assist Supervisor in preparing an annual unit budget and managing expenses to stay within the approved budget.
Adhere to strict confidentiality requirements including HIPAA and 42 CFR, relevant State laws, and company policy.
Collaborate and work effectively with all residential treatment team members in developing integrated approaches to whole person care; develop and implement SUD curricula and programming that is integral to the overall program goals and structure.
Attend staff meetings and provide clinical input, and complete all mandatory staff trainings as scheduled.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in addiction studies or a related human service (Master's degree in counseling discipline preferred but not mandatory).
At least 3 years of experience as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (post-certification), with experience in training counselor trainees in developing core competencies and expanding skills in actual treatment milieus, including working with dually disordered patients.
Meet Department of Health requirements for Approved Substance Use Disorder Professional under WAC 246-811-049 and maintain unrestricted SUDP certification.
If position also requires oversight of licensed mental health counselor associates, this employee will also meet the requirements of a DOH Mental Health Professional or as an Approved Supervisor for mental health counselors.
Maintain a valid Washington State Driver's license and current auto liability insurance and necessary certifications in CPR and First Aid when required by regulations or agency policies
Desire to learn and grow in an integrated SUD treatment environment.
Able to maintain calm demeanor through emotional situations, strong boundaries and mature emotional health.
