Overview:

The Woolly Thistle is looking to hire a part-time email marketer with professional experience in copywriting and/or marketing. Email is an important piece of our business outreach and growth. We are seeking a local candidate who can join our team and work in our West Lebanon, NH office.

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and proofread engaging emails that are error-free and help drive traffic and sales to the store.
• Follow a campaign plan to ensure email content is finished in a timely manner and supports sales goals.
• Attend weekly team meetings to stay in-the-know about new products, launches, and other events to be communicated to customers via email.
• Collaborate with our Marketing Coordinator to improve the impact of our email marketing efforts by conducting tests and optimizing send times and segmentation.
• Coordinate tasks and deadlines with our remote copywriter.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications, Traits, Skills, And Values we seek in the right candidate:

• 2 years of experience in a copywriting or digital marketing role.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher showing critical thinking and excellent written skills.
• A versatile writing portfolio demonstrating strong written communication skills and the ability to self-edit.
• A love of knitting, yarn, wool, and other fiber arts preferred.
• Familiarity with Shopify and Klaviyo (or a similar email marketing tool).
• A high level of attention to detail, especially when crafting and proofreading emails.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently and the will to seek answers and solve problems on your own when necessary.
• Comfortable receiving feedback on writing, performance, etc., and respond appropriately, making changes when asked.
• Capable of pivoting to meet sudden changes in priorities or deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to stay calm under pressure and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.
• Collaborative mindset and the willingness to contribute and share ideas and insights.
• A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the tenacity to pursue new challenges to master.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.06 - $21.95 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
