Job Title: Histology Lab Assistant, Central Lab Services

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the Histology Director and Histotechs to assist in Histology Lab daily operations including tissue grossing and processing, embedding, slides preparation, instrument operation, maintenance and trouble shooting.

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be able to differentiate color on stained slides and ensure proper staining technique

Qualifies for high complexity testing per the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments 42CFR1489, documentation must be provided and evaluated by laboratory leadership prior to offer

Experience in supporting a Histology Lab preferred

High level of accountability with self, and others

Hands-on approach with desire to teach, and partner with others
