Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services - Enter coded data into billing software or electronic health record systems - Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary - Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies - Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Stay current with changes in medical coding systems and billing regulations Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing preferred - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10), and billing procedures - Familiarity with medical office software and electronic health record systems - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Note: This is a paid position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.84 - $18.89 per hour
