Position Overview
The position of Box Truck Driver/Yard Jockey is a multi-dimensional position necessary for our growing nationwide chain of retail stores. The role will be supporting the transportation department at our Ship Center located in Buckeye, Arizona. This position will include using a yard dog to assist with slotting on the dock to support our inbound and outbound freight. Additionally, this position will require the driver to support the distribution center inside the facility to assist with our receiving, picking & shipping as the need arises. Yard jockey operates gasoline-powered tractor-trailer bringing trailers around the docks to be loaded/unloaded. Performs safety checks to secure trailers, opens bay doors and communicate with dock workers through the loading/unloading process. Yard jockey will maintain communication with slotting team internally to receive slotting instructions or to receive notice of any changes in slotting schedule.
Essential Job Functions
Primary duties will include but not limited to:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Operate equipment such as yard dog.
• Organize containers on the yard to support unloading, loading and transport
• Good communication skills and attention to detail a must
• Assisting on the transportation department dock with inbound and outbound freight
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• CDL experience/certificate preferred
• Satisfactory Driving Record and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Valid D.O.T. Medical Card or be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
• High School/G.E.D. or equivalent
• Minimum one year of verifiable Commercial Driving experience.
