Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position requires proficiency in aseptic technique, infection control, dental receptionist duties, medical documentation, medical terminology, Dentrix software, X-ray procedures, medical records management, and vital sign monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Perform chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment following aseptic technique
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records using Dentrix software
- Take and develop X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
- Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Assist with front desk duties as needed
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience as a Dental or similar role
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Experience as a dental receptionist is preferred
- Familiarity with medical documentation and terminology
- Proficiency in Dentrix software for appointment scheduling and record management
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures and develop X-ray films
- Knowledge of medical records management practices
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately
