Care Partners Hospice is Hiring a Caregiver Near Laguna Beach, CA

Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to individuals in need of senior care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Responsibilities: - Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature - Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients - Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up - Escort clients to appointments or social outings - Maintain accurate documentation of care provided Experience: - Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required - Knowledge of senior care practices and principles is a plus - Familiarity with resident rights and regulations in assisted living facilities is beneficial - Ability to operate healthcare systems and assist with medical equipment - Understanding of social work principles for effective client support Skills: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Empathy and patience when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations - Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility if necessary - Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond in emergency situations Note: All positions at our organization are paid, including internships.
