Job Description

Muller Engineering invites you to join our team as a dedicated Resiliency and Grant Leader. This is a part-time position that plays a pivotal role in incorporating resiliency into our projects and helping to manage our comprehensive grant program. 

Resiliency-Driven Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and compare potential mitigation strategies to at-risk assets from natural threats to make informed decisions.
  • Identify hazards to assets that require special attention to enhance project resiliency. 
  • Research options to mitigate risk and increase resilience for our Colorado-based projects. 
  • Determine when to invest in resilient options through rigorous cost-benefit analysis. 
  • Assess the adaptability of Muller’s design and operation for enhanced resilience. 
  • Proactively identify threats and evaluate mitigation measures.
  • Encourage resilience activities to manage risk and adapt to future challenges. 
  • Properly document the risk analysis and mitigation strategies to support funding resilience.
  • Assist clients to apply resilience solutions with existing funding. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Grant-Related Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals that align with grant guidelines.
  • Develop and or manage annual grants, ensuring timelines are met using a grants calendar.
  • Develop and foster relationships with grant applicants to support Muller’s mission.
  • Evaluate and prioritize grant opportunities based on eligibility, fit, and potential impact.
  • Maintain organized records of all grant-related activities, including submissions, awards, and correspondence. 
Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree earned from an accredited college or university.
  • 20 years of experience in the transportation sector including successful resiliency and grant management.
  • Previous experience analyzing risk and resilience for civil engineering projects.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong team orientation with exceptional collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.

Salary range for this position is: $58.00/hr - $68.00/hr dependent on experience.
