Qualifications: Six month’s experience in a health care environment caring for the elderly, such as in-home, nursing home, or assisted living facility, providing care for the elderly and disabled, including Alzheimer’s patients is preferred. Skills training will include knowledge of transfers, gait belts, food preparation and proper storage, nutrition needs of the elderly, bathing assistance, monitoring health and mental status of clients, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. All prospective Caregivers and CNAs must attend 8 hours of online classes following the Medicaid Matrix. CNAs must possess a current certification. Must be able to bend, twist, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull at least 20 lbs., grasp, complete repetitive motion movements and combine standing/walking for 2-hour intervals. Valid Driver’s License and auto liability insurance are required to transport clients and obtain Travel Time. Must be able to clear a federal-level background criminal check. This is a variable hour position.
