The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for assisting elderly individuals with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and other daily living activities. Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain warm, supportive relationships with clients and their families and other contacts.
• Maintain a pleasant and respectful demeanor toward clients and coworkers at all times.
• Restrain clients when necessary, when physical restraints are authorized under the rules of the licensed health care facility.
• Follow all correct procedures for administering medications according to facility policy and guidelines.
• Provide assistance with eating, bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting/incontinence care, ambulation as appropriate, and other activities of daily living (ADLs) as directed by the client's plan of care; transport equipment and assist in transferring the client to/from a wheelchair or bed; provide assistance with ambulation (to include standing or walking up/down stairs); assist in dressing/dressing changes (to include removal of clothing); provide bathing assistance to a level that is appropriate according to policy and procedure of facility.
• Companion to clients who are confined to bed or chair due to illness or injury.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
