Job Summary:

The Entry-Level Purchasing Agent will be an integral part of our procurement department, assisting in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in the procurement field, offering opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Vendor Evaluation:

Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Collaborate with senior team members in the supplier selection process.

Conduct research to stay informed about market trends and potential suppliers.

Purchase Order Management:

Support the creation and management of purchase orders.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase order details.

Communicate with suppliers to confirm order specifications and delivery schedules.

Negotiation Support:

Work closely with senior team members in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers.

Learn negotiation techniques and contribute to achieving favorable agreements.

Assist in securing cost-effective solutions for the organization.

Administrative Support:

Provide administrative assistance.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities.

Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.

Liaise with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Support communication between the procurement team and other departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Eagerness to learn and develop skills in procurement.

Basic understanding of procurement processes is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
