Position Title: Cook

*This is a part-time position*

Overview: The Cook is responsible for coordination and smooth operation of Hospice Care Center kitchen, including ordering and food preparation, cooking, clean up and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. This position ensures policies and procedures are followed in regard to Agency, OSHA and Health Department regulations. They also oversee and directly participate in providing quality meals meeting patient's dietary requirements and maintain clean kitchen and dining areas. The cook purchases food and supplies and completes inventory management. May require work in early mornings, late evenings and weekends as necessary. If you are compassionate and detail oriented, then we want you!

You Have:
• High School or GED equivalent required. Food Manager Certification required.
• One (1) to Two (2) years of commercial food preparation experience desired.
• Ability to embrace individuals from all walks of life

The Chiefland Hospice Care Center opened in December 2004 and is located at 311 NE 9^th Street in Chiefland. It is surrounded by lovely gardens and is a 16-bed facility that offers Southern-style architecture. Chiefland is known as the “Gem of the Suwannee Valley,” Chiefland offers many different facets of quality living that make it one of the best places to live in Florida.
