PART TIME

The main functions of the Barista are to create a quality of beverages and products, while maintaining a clean and comfortable work environment. In addition, they are to accept payment for food, beverages, and miscellaneous items purchased while ensuring that guests receive a high degree of satisfactory service. The Barista must reconcile payment for food and beverage consumed in the coffee shop. He or she is responsible for any bank issues. The Barista is responsible for keeping and following health standards when preparing and/or serving the different drinks and products sold. Must have reliable transportation.

The starting rate for an experienced Barista is $15.00 per hour, based on qualifications.

Qualifications, Education & Experience Standards:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or coffee shop setting preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage procedures and serving standards.
• Knowledge of Health Department rules and regulations.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English.
