Overlake is Hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner (Part Time / Nights) Near Bellevue, WA

Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention.

Pay range:

$33.91 - $59.33

Responsible for providing respiratory assessment, support, treatment, or diagnostic tests for critical care, floor care, emergency room or outpatients as needed. The position also includes responsibility for learning and performing any appropriate segments of department function that may be delegated by the manager.

Part Time / Night Shift

0.75 FTE / 12-hour Shifts

Qualifications:

Respiratory Care Practitioner I:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care School with an AS or BS degree required. (Exception: A BS/A or higher degree and meeting the requisite courses as outlined by the NBRC to challenge the test and become CRT would also be acceptable if applicant was successful in obtaining a license to practice RC in Washington and had a CRT from Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Acute care experience preferred.
  • Licensed with the state of Washington Department of Health (credentials in good standing) as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (LR) required.
  • CPR certification HCP (health Care Provider Course only acceptable) must be current and maintained every 2 years.
  • Must be Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association and kept current
  • Must be Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association and kept current
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified by the American Heart Association within 6 months of taking position. NRP certification is only required for FTE staff. Per diem staff can choose to be NRP certified but are not required.
  • Certified to draw ABG's at OHMC (written and observation testing). Complete the department's skills check off sheet by 90 days. Flexible with schedule changes or changing job assignments to meet patient care needs.

Respiratory Care Practitioner II:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care School required. (Exception: A BS/A or higher degree and meeting the requisite courses as outlined by the NBRC to challenge the test and become CRT then RRT would also be acceptable if applicant was successful in obtaining a license to practice RC in Washington & had a RRT from the NBRC). 
  • Must be Registered RCP (RRT) with the NBRC
  • Must be licensed by the State of Washington Department Health as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (LR). (Credentials in good standing)
  • CPR certification HCP (Health Care Provider Course only acceptable) must be current and maintained every 2 years.
  • Must be Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association and kept current
  • Must be Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association and kept current
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified by the American Heart Association within 6 months of taking position. NRP certification is only required for FTE staff. Per diem staff can choose to be NRP certified but are not required.
  • Acute care experience preferred.

Respiratory Care Practitioner III:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care School required. (Exception: A BS/A or higher degree and meeting the requisite courses as outlined by the NBRC to challenge the test and become RRT would also be acceptable if they were successful in obtaining a license to practice RC in Washington and RRT from the NBRC). 
  • Registered RCP(RRT) with the NBRC required.
  • Licensed by the State of Washington Department Health as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (LR) required. (Credentials in good standing)
  • Current Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (NPS) credential OR Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) OR Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) also required. (Required recertification every 5 years). Should this credential expire the person would move back to RCPII level.
  • CPR certification HCP (Health Care Provider Course only acceptable) must be current and maintained every 2 years.
  • Must be ACLS Certified by the American Heart Association and kept current
  • Must be PALS Certified by the American Heart Association and kept current
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified by the American Heart Association within 6 months of taking position. NRP certification is only required for FTE staff. Per diem staff can choose to be NRP certified but is not required.
  • Minimum 3 years acute care experience required.
