KC Beauty Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Esthetician Instructor who is passionate about teaching and can act as a motivator and mentor to our students.
We are looking for a strong candidate to teach our future professionals the fundamentals of skin care, makeup, and waxing to enter this growing and ever-changing industry!

We are a small school nestled between the arts district and Little Tokyo in Downtown LA.
Because of our small size and intimate classroom settings, there is a lot of opportunities to have a lasting impact on the future generations of estheticians.
Class Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 5:30pm - 10pm Saturday 10am - 2:30pm

Job duties include:
- Teaching, mentoring, motivating and coaching all students on the clinic floor the correct methodology/techniques needed to be a successful esthetician
- Explain, demonstrate, and instruct students on the fundamentals of esthetics/terminology needed to be a skin care specialist, using the curriculum as provided by Milady as well as CA State Board
- Preparing students to pass the State Board exam
- Maintain service and retail sales to stated objectives
- Ensuring all classroom and clinic floor protocols are met and in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in various administrative duties (such as attend faculty meetings, accurately record grades and attendance, counsel students, complete continuing education units)
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Esthetician license per state requirement
- Minimum of 3-5 esthetician experience in a spa/educator setting
- Prior teaching experience is necessary
- Experience with Dermalogica products is a plus!
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
- Computer skills necessary
