The Town Of Vandemere Is Looking To Hire A Permanent Part-time Town Manager To Oversee Operations Of Our Quaint Little Town. We Are Located In Northeast Pamlico County Bordering The Bay River, Vandemere Creek And Smith Creek. Our Fishing, Hunting, Boating And Waterfront Activities Are Second To None. Vandemere Has An Excellent Boating Access Area And Waterfront Park That Draws Sportsmen And Boaters From Across The State. We Are Presently Working With The Division Of Coastal Management As A Participant In The Resiliency Coastal Community Program. Our First Project (drainage Improvements) Should Be Shovel Ready In The Coming Months. Our American Rescue Plan Act Funds Are Being Used To Upgrade Existing Sewer Lines. We Are Presently Being Considered, By The State, For The Next Fast Ferry To Ocracoke. We Are Small, But Growing. We Need Someone With The Municipal Background And Experience To Oversee Town Operations And Continue The Work Of Moving Our Town Forward. With Limited Resources, Most Projects Are Funded Through Grants, So A Strong Background In Grant Writing And Implementation Is Needed.
