The club features an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, swimming, a fitness center, and clubhouse for member entertaining, dining and banquets. Job Summary
The childcare attendant is an entry-level position that works in the KinderClub performing routine childcare tasks. Primary responsibility falls on providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children while parents are utilizing club facilities. This job does not require an advanced education, however, in order to be successful incumbents must be patient, self-motivated, and possess knowledge of basic childcare and the ability work well with infants and children; must be able to tolerate lifting, carrying, and moving infants and children; and must be able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Standard hours of operation are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturdays, however hours may vary due to special circumstances or events.
Essential Duties

• Provides a clean, safe and fun childcare environment.
• Checks infants and children in and out while providing basic childcare; maintains accurate records of attendance.
• Continuously monitors childcare areas to ensure safe environment; follows established safety and security procedures.
• Observes and carries out specific directions provided by the parent(s) and childcare manager.
• Develops and implements activities for, and attentively watches and attends to, children placed in childcare.
• Interacts with, plays with, and reads to children using club provided age-appropriate materials.
• Immediately reports injuries and/or illnesses to parent(s), childcare manager, and clubhouse manager and completes an accident report.
• Works cooperatively by communicating with childcare manager and following childcare policies and procedures; orients parents regarding policies and procedures of childcare area and maintains a positive rapport with them.
• Maintains clean environment; performs light janitorial duties as required or assigned to include picking up and putting away toys, books, sanitizing childcare areas, body fluid cleanup, and light housekeeping.
• Attends staff meetings and in-service training.
• Maintains a professional appearance and complies with uniform and dress codes.
• Assists in training other childcare attendants as needed.
• Performs other related duties that may be assigned by a manager.

Requirements
Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, and sit, and the ability to use vision, voice and and/or listen; occasionally required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; ability to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; ability to tolerate moderate noise levels.
• The employee must frequently lift, hold and/or move 20-25 pounds (infants and children), and occasionally lift and/or move 35-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, and/or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of work experience as a childcare provider.
• Active nationally accepted Infant and Child First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.
