What: Armed Security Officer-(part time Position)

We are seeking a vigilant and experienced Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of patrons, staff, and assets within our cinema environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strong commitment to enforcing safety protocols. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a critical role in deterring potential threats and responding swiftly and effectively to any incidents that may arise.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in criminal justice, security management, or related fields preferred.
• Active and valid firearms license issued by the appropriate authorities.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service, with a demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals in a customer service-oriented environment.
• Physical fitness and agility sufficient to perform security patrols and respond quickly to emergencies as needed.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices pertaining to security operations and firearms usage.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support cinema operations.
• Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, employment verification, and drug screening.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol designated areas of the cinema premises to detect and deter any suspicious activity or potential security breaches.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarm systems to identify and respond to security threats promptly.
• Conduct thorough security checks of individuals and belongings upon entry to the cinema, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies.
• Provide a visible security presence within the cinema, reassuring patrons and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Respond to emergency situations, such as disturbances, medical emergencies, or criminal activity, in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate closely with cinema management, local law enforcement, and emergency services as needed to address security concerns and coordinate responses.
• Enforce cinema policies and procedures related to conduct, prohibited items, and emergency evacuation protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, including detailed reports of any incidents or interventions.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge related to security practices, emergency response, and firearm safety.
• Carry and responsibly use firearms in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, ensuring proper handling and storage at all times.
