**Job Title:** Rides and Attractions Attendant (Part-time - Day)

**Department:** Attractions

**Reports to:** Rides and Attractions Manager

**FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt

**Job Status:** Seasonal

**Job Purpose:** To create safe and fun experiences for Zoo Atlantas Members and guests on our multiple Zoo themed Rides and Attractions

**JOB FACTORS:**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Responsible for attending and/or operating the Treetop Trail, Zoo Train, carousel, Safari Slide, and/or rock wall.

* Responsible for ensuring all Treetop Trail participants are harnessed properly and can adjust harnesses as needed.

* Must be able to handle cash, credit cards and checks accurately and compile end of day transactions.

* Assist Lead with inventory management

* Able to successfully complete all mandatory training

* Maintain positive working relationships and communication with all Zoo Atlanta staff

* Must be willing to support Zoo Atlantas Vision, Mission and Values

* Any other miscellaneous projects/assignment assigned by Zoo Atlantas Management Team

**Experience and Skills:**

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

* 16 years or older (17 years or older if operating Treetop Trail)

* Must have valid Drivers License or obtain a valid Driver's License within 90 days of hire

* Interest in ropes course training strongly preferred

* Previous customer service experience preferred

* Must be friendly, outgoing, and approachable

* Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to details in a fast-paced environment

* Must possess excellent problem-solving skills

* Computer literacy required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strength in Word and Excel

* Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment

* Possess excellent communications skills and willingness to interact positively with guests and zoo staff of diverse backgrounds

**Driving Requirements:** Must have valid Drivers License or obtain a valid Driver's License within 90 days of hire

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**: Capabilities to bend, stoop, climb and stand for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. If working the ropes course, must have the ability to wear an RCI approved harness and must be comfortable working up to 30 feet above the ground.

**WORK SCHEDULE:**

* Must be able to work AT LEAST 1 full day (9:30 AM to 5:30 PM) per week

* Day shift hours are from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM

* Shifts are available any day of the week (including weekends and holidays)

**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**

* Most work will be outdoors; Must also have ability to work in an office environment

* Ability to work in and manage the flow of guests

* Ability to work with children of all ages
